The Gore Bay Museum is housed in the former Jailhouse of Manitoulin Island. A fully operational jail from the 1890’s until the 1940’s, it is now a monument to pioneer living, native culture, and rural law enforcement.

(The Museum is constructed entirely from local rock)

The Museum’s Annex displays art shows by such artists as Jack Whyte, Patty Gordon, Joyce Young, Christie Best Pearson, and Rick Edwards.
